2.1 Programs delivered in Chinese

All degree specialties and disciplines offered by JUST in Chinese are available to overseas applicants. A minimum of HSK Level 4 (or above) is required.

Note: For bachelor’s programs taught in English, a minimum student quota must be met. If the quota is not reached, students enrolled in that program should be prepared to transfer to another program.

 3 Application Period

April 10, 2026 to June 10, 2026.

4. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport with a validity period of at least 6 months, be in good health, and comply with Chinese laws and JUST regulations.

4.1 Age and Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Program: High school diploma (A-Level or equivalent); age 24 or below.

  • Master’s Program:Bachelor’s degree; age 30 or below.

  • Doctoral Program: Master’s degree; age 45 or below.

4.2 Language Proficiency Requirements

  • English-taught Programs:

  • Bachelor’s: TOEFL iBT 75 or IELTS 5.5 (not required for native English speakers). For non-native English speakers, an online conference interview will be conducted to further prove your communication abilities.

  • Master’s and Doctoral: TOEFL iBT 80 or IELTS 6.0 (not required for native English speakers). For non-native English speakers, an online conference interview will be conducted to further prove your communication abilities.

  • Chinese-taught Programs: Recent HSK Level 4 certificate (issued within the last 2 years).

4.3 Seats & Selection

Due to the limited number of seats available, the selection process is highly competitive. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee acceptance. Only the strongest candidates will be selected after a rigorous evaluation. Disqualification Criteria Applications will be disqualified for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Fraudulent (PS documents) or misleading information

  • Insufficient or incomplete documents

  • Weak academic performance (GPA below the required minimum)

  • Failure to meet any other eligibility criteria (demerit records from previous institution attended, lack of sufficient supporting documents)

5 Application Materials
5.1 Foreigner Physical Examination Form (completed within 6 months prior to the application date).

5.2 Certificate of No Criminal Record (issued within the last 3 months prior to the application date) from the police authority or competent government office of your current country of residence.

5.3 English or Chinese language proficiency certificate (as specified in 4.2).

5.4 Photocopy of a valid passport (general type) and a passport-sized photo.

5.5 For Undergraduate Applicants: High school diploma (original or notarized copy in English or Chinese). Fresh graduates must provide a certificate of expected graduation time. A-Level qualifications or equivalent are mandatory, depending on the applicant’s country or region.

For Master’s Applicants: Original or notarized copy (in English or Chinese) of undergraduate transcript and bachelor’s degree certificate. Two recommendation letters (in English or Chinese) from referees with titles of associate professor or higher (or equivalent).

5.7For Doctoral Applicants: Original or notarized copy (in English or Chinese) of graduate transcript and master’s degree certificate. Two recommendation letters from professors. Copies of published papers and a research proposal for doctoral study in China.

5.8 Self-financed international students must designate a trustee in China and provide a financial guarantee. (Students not supported by the Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarship are considered self-financed, full-time graduate students.)

6. Application Procedure

Applications for all programs must be submitted exclusively online via JUST’s “Online Application System” athttps://just.17gz.org/.

  • Step 1: Register an account and activate it.

  • Step 2: Complete the application form and upload all required documents.

  • Step 3: Submit the application and note your application number.

  • Step 4: Regularly check your admission status online.

  • Step 5: Upon successful evaluation, you will receive a Conditional Admission Notice via email.

  • Step 6: Review the Admission Notice and pay the fees outlined by JUST’s School of Overseas Education.

  • Step 7: Upload the payment receipt to the JUST “Online Application System.”

  • Step 8: Receive the original Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202) by email, respectively.

Additional Notes:

· The evaluation and admission process involves all relevant schools and the admission office. Results will only be displayed on the application portal; please understand that specific reasons for rejection will not be provided.

· If insufficient candidates apply for a specific undergraduate major, pre-admitted students will be notified, and further details will be discussed via email.

· Pre-admission will be invalid if payment is not completed or the receipt is not uploaded as required.

7. Admission and Residence Permit

7.1 Admission decisions will be based on application materials and applicants’ performance during evaluation.
7.2 Admission documents will be sent before August 15, 2026. Mailing details for students outside China will be communicated later.
7.3 Applicants previously enrolled at other Chinese universities must provide a graduation statement or certificate from their current institution.

Important: Ensure your residence permit from previous institutions remains valid to avoid expiration. JUST will only assist with residence permits during the registration period.


8. Registration Period
New students must register during the designated period, as dormitories will be cleaned during the summer vacation. Per the International Student Admission Notice, admitted students must register at JUST’s School of Overseas Education according to the specified schedule. Failure to register within 7 days of the deadline will result in invalidation of admission, and fees will not be refunded.
