  1. 学科简介(Introduction)

 生物学学科现有正高职15人,副高职40余人,博导6人。长期承担国家级和省部级科技计划项目,先后获得16项国家级科技成果奖励。拥有6个省部级科研教学平台,实验室面积15000平方米,仪器设备总值6500万元。本学科注重生物学基础理论的探究和现代研究技术的训练,重点研究动植物和微生物生长发育、遗传变异及其与环境的互作等生命科学问题,为现代农业、医药和生物产业的发展提供理论依据,为生命科学研究及生物产业发展培养高素质人才。

The biology discipline has 15 professors and more than 40 associated professors, comprising 10 doctoral supervisors. The discipline has been undertaken national and provincial science and technology programs for a long time, and received 16 national scientific & technical achievements rewarding. There are 6 provincial or ministerial research teaching platforms. The laboratory area is 15,000 m2, and the instrument and equipment worth 65 million RMB. The discipline pays great attention to the exploration of the basic theory of biology and the training of modern research techniques, especially focuses on the researches of development of animal, plants and microbes and their genetic variation, meanwhile, the life science issues of interactions between these organisms and environment are also involved. Based on this, it can provide the theoretical basis for modern agriculture, medical and biological industry. Besides, the high quality talents supplement for biological science research and biological industry can also be expected.

本学科硕士生应具有坚定正确的政治方向、良好的道德品质,遵纪守法,身心健康。掌握生命科学领域坚实的基础理论、系统的专业知识和现代实验研究技能,具备开展生命科学研究所需的综合能力和良好科学道德,能够创造性地研究和解决本学科有关的理论和技术问题,能胜任生命科学相关领域的教学、科研和技术管理等工作。

Masters in this discipline must possess firm and correct political orientation and good moral character. They should be law-abiding, physical and mental health. It is essential to grasp solid basic theory, system of professional knowledge and modern experimental research skills. They should have the comprehensive abilities and good scientific moral which are necessary for working on life science research. Meanwhile, they should study and solve related theoretical and technical problems in this discipline creatively, and be competent for scientific research, education or technical management related to biological science.

研究植物生长发育的生理生化机制,重点研究生理活性物质及生态胁迫与生长发育的关系,优质高效繁殖及栽培理论与技术。

The course aims to study the physiological and biochemical mechanisms of plant growth and development, especially focuses on the relationship between physiologically active substancesecological stress and development.

Plant genetics

植物种质资源的收集、鉴定和利用,功能基因挖掘、克隆及鉴定,现代育种技术研究,资源植物功能性物质研究。

The collection, identification and utilization of plant germplasm resources. Digging, clone and identification of functional genes. Researches on modern breeding technology. Researches on functional substances of resource plants.

 动物生理生化与营养Animal physiological-biochemical and nutrition

研究动物生长发育的生理生化机制,重点研究昆虫的发育变态,动物营养生理及营养条件对生长发育的作用。

The course aims to study physiological and biochemical mechanisms of animal development, especially focuses on the impacts of development metamorphosis of insects and nutritional physiology on the animal development.

Animal molecular biology and genetics

动物种质资源的收集、鉴定和利用,功能基因的结构、功能和表达调控,现代育种技术研究。

The course aims to study structure, function and expression regulation of functional genes. The collection, identification and utilization of animal germplasm resources. Animal modern breeding technology

 微生物与免疫

Microorganism and immune


研究动植物主要病原微生物及其致病机制,动植物疫病诊断与防疫技术,病原微生物与宿主相互作用的分子机制。动物免疫及其分子机制。

The course aims to study the gene structure and function of plant or animal pathogens, the molecular mechanism of the interaction between pathogenic microbial and hosts is also involved. and the primary animal diseases and the mechanism of pathogenicity.

Animal immune and molecular mechanism, disease diagnose and epidemic prevention technology are also included.

 分子生物学与生物技术Molecular biology and biotechnology

动植物遗传资源的收集、鉴定,重要经济性状和生理生化性状分析及其遗传规律研究,重要性状形成的分子机制解析,现代育种理论与技术研究。

The course aims to study the important economic traits, physiological and biochemical traits and their genetic laws. Analysis of the molecular mechanism of the formation of important traits, and research on modern breeding theories and techniques.

 生物转化与合成生物学Biotransformation and synthetic biology

研究功能蛋白和酶的合成及调控机理,蛋白质分离纯化、修饰及制剂技术,蛋白质组技术,资源生物功能性因子的合成代谢机理及应用技术。

The course aims to study the synthesis and regulation of functional proteins and enzymes. Protein purification, modification and preparation technology. Mechanism and application technology of the synthesis and metabolism of functional factors of biological resources.

 动植物发育与调控Development and regulation of animals and plants

研究动植物发育、分化机制和与环境的相互作用及其分子调控机制。

The course aims to study the sex determination of animal and plant, differentiation of germ cells, individual development and metamorphosis and their molecular mechanisms.

四、教学语言(Teaching Language)

英语和双语(汉语、英语)English or double language (English and Chinese) is used.

五、学制与学分(Schooling and Credits)

  1. 学制(School System

学制2年,全日制教学。特殊情况可申请延期,延期时间最长不得超过1年。

Full-time education system is adopted. The length of schooling is two years. In special case, international students can apply for delaying but no more long than one year.

  1. 学分(Credits

 来华留学硕士生应修满28学分,其中必修学位课程14学分,必修非学位课程和环节4学分,选修课程不少于10学分。

International students for master degree should obtain 28 credits, including 14 credits of compulsory degree course, 4 credits of compulsory non-degree course and more than 10 credit of elective course.

2.课程免修

 在他国已经修学相应学科、专业硕士学位课程的来华留学生,可以申请课程免修。申请人提供在他国修学的课程名称、成绩单以及两名专家(相当于副教授及其以上人员)的推荐信等材料。学院组织同行专家(副教授及其以上人员)组对其已经修学的硕士学位课程进行审查、审核、考试或考核。凡经专家组认可的课程,可以免修。

In case that one has finished the corresponding courses in the same subject and specialty in another country, he / she can apply for exemption of the course. But the applicant has to provide the name and score sheet of the course, and recommendation of two experts (equal to associate professor or over title). College will organize experts in the same subject to examine and verify, or test the course that the applicant has leant. Only whose course has been approved by the expert group, this course can be exempted by the applicant.

七、科研要求与学位论文

(Scientific Research Requirements and Dissertation)

  1. 科研要求(Scientific Research Requirements)

 来华留学硕士生按照导师要求参加科研活动,并撰写1篇与专业相关的学术论文(英文)。

International students for doctor degree should take part in activities of scientific research required by tutors and carry out research subject related to the dissertation, and publish one research article (in English) using JUST as the first author’s unit.

  1. 学位论文(Dissertation)

 学位论文可以是学术研究或科学技术报告,也可以是案例分析报告。

 学位论文用英文或中文进行撰写。选用英文撰写的学位论文,其摘要需要用中文撰写;选用中文撰写的学位论文,其摘要需要用英文撰写。

 提倡来华留学硕士生撰写论文与其本国实际相结合;确因需要、经指导教师同意、研究所领导和国际学院领导审批,来华留学硕士生可以利用部分时间回国撰写论文,但在我国进行论文工作的时间不得少于半年;来华留学硕士生的论文答辩工作必须在我校进行。

Dissertations can be an academic research report or technology report, of a case analysis report.

Dissertations should be written in English or in Chinese. When it is in English, its abstract be written in Chinese, and vice versa.

We encourage international students for master degree to prepare their dissertations combining the practice of their own countries. Because of certain reasons international students can use part of schooling days go back to his /her country to prepare dissertation after obtaining agreement of tutors and approval of the institute and International School of JUST. But international students must stay no less than a half year for scientific research, and dissertation oral defense should be performed in China.


八、学位授予(Degree Authorization)

 来华留学硕士生通过本专业规定的学位课程考试以及其它必修和选修课程的考核或考查、完成规定环节、修满学分要求,方可申请学位论文答辩。通过学位论文答辩者,学校颁发硕士毕业证书,并授予理学硕士学位。

Only who has passed examination of master degree courses and passed tests of other compulsory or elective courses, and completed the requirements of scientific research and compulsory steps, can international students for master degree apply for dissertation oral defense. After one has passed through the dissertation oral defense, JUST will issue the doctorate graduation certificate and grant master of science degree.
