一、学科简介(Introduction)
外国语言学及应用语言学二级学科于2005年获批硕士学位授予权，目前有“语言学”、“翻译研究”、“语言与文化”三个方向。长期以来，本学科依托9个研究中心，围绕语言学、语音学、翻译学、外国文学、潮与研究、神经语言学、外语教育与教学研究、赛珍珠研究、俄语语言文学等9个研究方向开展学术研究工作。
The Discipline of linguistics and applied linguistics in foreign languages obtained the right to confer master's degree in the year of 2005, including three research fields of linguistics, translation studies, language and culture. Nine outstanding and well-organized academic research teams has been established covering Linguistics, Phonetics, Translation Studies, Foreign Literature Studies, Translanguaging Studies, Neurolinguistics, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Pearl S. Buck studies and Russian Language and literature.
学科现有研究生导师14人、副导师7人，其中教授6人。近五年来，承担国家社科基金、省社科基金、教育部人文社科基金等高水平研究项目四十余项，在国内同类学科中具有明显的特色和优势。此外还在国内外高水平学术期刊上发表论文100余篇，出版专著、译著、教材10余部。本学科点能够满足培养留学生硕士的学术和经费需求。
At present, there are 14 supervisors including 5 professors in this discipline. Over the past five years, they have undertaken more than 40 high-level research projects such as the National Social Science Foundation of China, Provincial research projects, Social Science Foundation of Ministry of Education, which has obvious characteristics and advantages in the same disciplines in China. In addition，they have published more than 100 papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, more than 10 monographs, translations and textbooks. With high-level academic capability and sufficient research funds, it has met the requirement of accepting overseas graduate students for Master’s Degree in this discipline.
二、培养目标(Program Objectives)
本学科培养综合素质过硬、基础知识扎实、专业能力强的外国语言学和应用语言学领域的高层次人才。留学生硕士研究生应具备全面扎实的基础知识，系统掌握外语语言学及应用语言学的基本知识和主要理论，了解研究现状和发展趋势，熟悉研究领域的学术动态和主要研究方法。能够运用第二外语阅读相关文本和文献，能够独立从事相关领域的研究和教学工作。
The program is aimed at cultivating top talents in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics with excellent comprehensive quality, solid basic knowledge and professional competence. The Master student in this discipline shall obtain a comprehensive and solid foundation, systematically master the basic knowledge and main theories of linguistics and applied linguistics in foreign languages, understand current situation and development trends, and be familiar with academic dynamics and main research methods of the research field. Moreover, he/she shall be able to work independently on the research and teaching in the relative fields. In addition, he/she shall be capable of using a second foreign language to read related texts and literatures.

1 | 语言学 Linguistics | 聚焦语言的本质与演进，从认知、功能、应用以及语音、语用、语义、话语分析、二语习得等方面对语言进行研究。旨在培养学生语言认知和分析应用的能力，探索外语教育教学的规律和途径，为语言研究和教学提供坚实的理论和应用基础。 This direction focuses on the nature of languages and its evolution from the aspects of cognition, function, application, phonetics, pragmatics, semantics, discourse analysis and second language acquisition. It aims at cultivating the students' ability of language cognition, analysis, research and application, scientifically observing language facts and correctly using language, laying solid theory and application foundation for language research and teaching in the future. |
2 | 翻译研究 Translation studies | 主要通过英汉语言对比研究翻译、通过翻译对比研究英汉语言以及进行纯粹的英汉语言对比研究或翻译研究。研究国内外翻译理论，对比研究翻译实例，结合语言学最新成果，从文体学、篇章学、语用学、认知学、美学等角度研究翻译规律。 This direction mainly focuses on translation research by comparing English/Russian and Chinese/English, and on the contrastive study of English/Russian and Chinese/English through translation. The research contents also include the domestic and foreign translation theories, comparative studies on the translation cases, and the translation laws by combining the latest linguistics achievements from the perspective of stylistics, discourse, pragmatics, cognition aesthetics and etc. |
3 | 语言与文化 Language and culture | 侧重不同语言和文化的对比和研究。从中国人学外语的目的和外语的社会功能出发，在对主要的语言理论和跨文化交际理论进行系统研究的基础上，从语言学、文化学、心理学、社会学等角度探讨社会、文化、语言与交际的关系；研究外语教学中的目标文化教学与跨文化交际能力培养等方面问题。 This direction focuses on the comparison and research of different languages and cultures. Based on the social function of foreign languages and after the systematic study of the main language theories and cross-cultural communication theories, it aims at the study on the relationship of society, culture, language and communication from the perspective of language, culture, psychology, sociology etc. Moreover, it also discusses the problems of target culture teaching and the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence in foreign language teaching. |

五、学制与学分(Schooling and Credits)
学制（School System）
学制两年，其中，课程学习时间一般为1年，学位论文形成时间一般为1年，在籍年限累计不超过3年（从入学至毕业），在校攻读时间最短不得少于1年。
The length of schooling is two years, in which the course learning time is generally one year, and the dissertation formation time is generally one year. The accumulated years are not more than three years (from enrollment to graduation), and the minimum time of study in the University is not less than one year.
学分（Credits）
在校期间应修满28学分，其中学位课不少于17学分，非学位课不少于10学分，实践环节不少于3学分。
The oversea graduate students are required to obtain 30 credits, including no less than 17 credits for degree courses, no less than 10 credits for non-degree courses, and 3 credits for practice modules.

七、科研要求与学位论文(Scientific Research Requirements and Dissertation)
科研要求(Scientific Research Requirements)
硕士留学生应按导师要求参加学术活动，同时鼓励发表学术研究论文。
The oversea graduate students shall attend the research activities according to the supervisor’s requirements. At the same time, the discipline encourages the publication of academic papers in related fields.
学位论文(Dissertation)
论文可以是围绕本学科领域主题的学术论文或调研报告。学位论文可以用英语或俄语撰写，相应的提供中文或者英文摘要。
The thesis can be either an academic research or a survey for a particular subject. The thesis should be written in either Russian or English. For the former, the abstract should be written in Chinese; while for the latter, the abstract should be written in English.
八、学位授予(Degree Authorization)
硕士留学生在申请论文答辩前应符合学分要求。论文答辩通过后授予硕士学位和毕业证书。
The oversea graduate students should meet the credit requirement before applying for the thesis defense. The Master’s degree and the graduation certificate shall be granted after the successful thesis defense.
