一、培养目标(Purpose of TrainingProgram

 本专业旨在将来华留学生培养成复合型英语专业人才。通过学习和实践,使来华留学生能够系统地了解中国社会文化,具有一定的汉语交际能力,掌握英语语言文学,应用语言学基础理论知识和实践技能。毕业后能够在经贸、文化、新闻、教育及旅游等行业从事翻译、教学、研究、外事、外贸、管理等工作。

Themajor aims tocultivate oversea undergraduate students to be interdisciplinary English majors. Through learning and practice, the oversea students will have a systematic understanding of Chinese culture, a certain ability of Chinese communication, a solid foundation in English language and literature, a basic knowledge in applied linguistics and practical skills. They can be engaged in dealing with translation, teaching, research, foreign affairs, international trade and administration in businesses and fields concerning trade, culture, news media, education and tourism, etc.   

毕业要求(GraduationRequirements

 毕业生应在知识、能力和素质方面满足以下要求:

Graduates are required to meet the following knowledge, ability and quality requirements:

1)遵守中国政府颁布的相关政策法律以及江苏科技大学制定的相关规章制度;正确理解中国社会文化中国文化,尊重中国传统习俗。

Abide by the relevant policies and laws promulgated by the Chinese government, and the rules and regulations of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology(JUST); Learn about Chinese social culture correctly and respect the Chinese traditional customs.

2)具有熟练的英语听、说、读、写的能力,掌握英语语言文学基础知识,具备跨文化交际能力和商务能力。

Acquiring high proficiency in such English language skills as listening, speaking, reading and writing ability, and also a good mastery of the basic knowledge about English language, literature with cross-cultural ability and basic business skills.

3)了解中国和英语国家的社会、历史、文化、经济、商务等方面的状况,知识面宽广。

Having a wide range of knowledge about the society, history, culture, economy and business of China and the English-speaking countries.

  1. 具有较强的计算机应用能力和初步的科学研究和实际工作能力。

Possessing a proficient computer skills, an initial capacity of scientific research and practical working ability. 

主干学科(Main Subjects

 英语语言文学

  English Language and Literature

、核心课程(Core Courses

 汉语、中国概况、基础英语、高级英语、跨文化交际、中西文化对比、跨境电商英语。

Chinese, Introduction of China, Basic English, Advanced English, Cross-cultural Communication, Contrast of Chinese and Western Culture, Cross-board E-commerce English.

、集中性实验实践教学环节

 集中性实验实践教学环节课程见附表1,采用中外学生混班教学模式。

The courses of centrally experimental and practical part refer to Table 1, teaching for mixed class model of home and oversea students.

、教学语言(Teaching Language

 全英文授课。

Teaching in English.

学制与学分(Schooling and credits

1、学制(Schooling System

 标准学制为四年。

The standard schooling lasts 4 years.

2、学分要求(Credits Requirements

 须修满130学分,才能毕业。

The oversea students will be granted graduation when they obtain more than 130 credits.

八、学位授予(Degree Award

 毕业生符合江苏科技大学来华留学生学士学位授予条件,经学校学位评定委员会审查通过,授予文学学士学位。

When the students meet the requirements of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology(JUST) granting bachelor's degree for oversea students, they will be examined and awarded the Bachelor degree of Arts by the academic degree evaluation committee of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
