In the afternoon of September 22, Dean Cui Jie and Vice Dean Zhao Haixiao of College of Overseas Education visited the new students enrolled in 2021 in the international students' apartment to understand their moving in situation and care about their study and living conditions. In the international students' apartment, Dean Cui Jie firstly welcomed the new students on behalf of the college and asked them in detail about their return to school, dormitory occupancy and online study, and urged them to strictly abide by the relevant epidemic prevention requirements of the university and the college, do a good job of personal protection and adjust their study status in time. Aysen, an international student from Cameroon, excitedly told the teachers that she had fallen in love with this beautiful place from the moment she entered the campus and was full of aspirations for her future study life. The leaders of the college also encouraged the international students to cherish the opportunity to study in China and strive to be the spreader of Chinese and foreign culture and friendship.

Due to the continuous influence of the global epidemic, nearly 2/3 of the new international students admitted to our university this year are still outside of China. The leaders of the college also urged the foreign students to take good personal protection and attend the online teaching on time, and hoped to welcome these foreign students in the campus of JNU in the near future. The College of Overseas Education will also continue to pay attention to the physical and mental health and study life of international students both inside and outside the country according to the university's requirements, and strictly implement the university's epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure the health and safety of students after the resumption of school.
