学科简介(Introduction)
土木工程硕士专业学位培养类别依托于江苏科技大学船舶与海洋工程一级学科博士点和建筑与土木工程省重点学科培育点等平台,始终本着立足江苏、面向全国、服务行业的发展理念,以建设省内一流的土木类硕士专业学位类别为发展目标,建筑与土木工程行业为主体服务对象的办学特色,重点面向土木建筑工程行业需求,培养基础扎实、素质全面、工程实践能力强并具有一定创新能力的应用型、复合型高层次工程技术和工程管理人才。
The Discipline of Civil Engineering is based on the platform of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, the first-level doctoral program of marine engineering and the key disciplines of civil engineering in Jiangsu province. It focuses on the characteristics of running a school with the construction and civil engineering industry and it try best to train the students who has innovative ability of the application-oriented, complex high-level engineering technology.
本学位类别拥有国家级实验教学示范中心2个、国家级分中心2个、省部级重点实验室及中心9个、省级人才培养模式创新实验基地等。本学位类别师资力量雄厚,专任教师145人,行业教师30人,专业导师24人;国家级人才4人、江苏省特聘教授5人。
At present, in this discipline, there are 2 state-level experimental teaching centers, 9 provincial and ministerial level key laboratories and some provincial training centers. There are 145 teachers including 30 professional teacher and 24 supervisors. In addition, there are 4 state-level professor and 5 provincial professor.
培养目标(Program Objectives)
本学科遵循教育和人才成长规律,注重研究生科学精神与人文素质的培养。所培养的硕士研究生应具有良好的职业道德和敬业精神,具有科学严谨和求真务实的学习态度和工作作风;掌握土木工程领域坚实的基础理论和系统的专门知识;了解本学科相关领域的新技术和发展动态,能够创新性地解决本学科的学术或技术问题;能结合与本学科有关的实际问题进行创新研究,具有较强的自主学习、创新意识和工程实践能力;具有可持续发展意识和自主学习、终身学习的意识和能力。学生毕业后能够胜任研究机构、高等院校和产业部门有关方面的科研、工程开发及管理工作。
The discipline follows the law of education and talent growth, and pays attention to the cultivation of scientific spirit and humanistic quality. After graduated from our university, the overseas students should have good professional ethics and professionalism, scientific, rigorous and pragmatic learning attitude and work style. They may master solid basic theories and systematic expertise in the field of Civil Engineering. Also, they can understand and chase the new technologies and development trends in related fields of the discipline, and be able to solve the academic or technical problems of the discipline in an innovative way. The students can carry out innovative research in combination with the practical problems related to the discipline, and have a strong sense of independent learning, innovation and engineering practice. Moreover, the students have the sense of sustainable development, independent learning and lifelong learning. After graduated, students can be competent for the research, engineering development and management of research institutions, universities and industrial departments.

五、学制与学分(Schooling and Credits)
学制(School System)
学制两年,其中,课程学习时间一般为1年,学位论文形成时间一般为1年,在籍年限累计不超过3年(从入学至毕业),在校攻读时间最短不得少于1年。
The length of schooling is two years, in which the course learning time is generally one year, and the dissertation formation time is generally one year. The accumulated years are not more than three years (from enrollment to graduation), and the minimum time of study in the University is not less than one year.
学分(Credits)
在校期间应修满28学分,其中学位课不少于19学分,非学位课不少于9学分。
The oversea graduate students are required to obtain 28 credits, including no less than 19 credits for degree courses, and no less than 9 credits for non-degree courses.

七、科研要求与学位论文(Scientific Research Requirements and Dissertation)
科研要求(Scientific Research Requirements)
硕士留学生应按导师要求参加学术活动,同时鼓励发表学术研究论文。
The oversea graduate students shall attend the research activities according to the supervisor’s requirements. At the same time, the discipline encourages the publication of academic papers in related fields.
学位论文(Dissertation)
论文可以是学术研究/技术报告,也可以是工程设计或案例分析报告。学位论文可以用英文或中文撰写,相应的提供中文或者英文摘要。
The thesis can be either academic research/technical report, or engineering design or case analysis report. The thesis should be written in either English or Chinese. For the former, the abstract should be written in Chinese; while for the latter, the abstract should be written in English.
八、学位授予(Degree Authorization)
硕士留学生在申请论文答辩前应符合学分要求。论文答辩通过后授予硕士学位和毕业证书。
The oversea graduate students should meet the credit requirement before applying for the thesis defense. The Master’s degree and the graduation certificate shall be granted after the successful thesis defense.
