  1. 学科简介(Introduction)

轮机工程:轮机工程学科是江苏省重点学科和优势学科。本学科是为水上交通运输、海洋资源开发等提供各类船舶动力与轮机系统、装备、工程设计与建造的工程领域,是集现代船舶轮机工程中机、电、热、自动化及管理于一体的高新技术综合学科,对船舶与海洋工程建设与开发具有十分重要的意义。

Marine Engineering is the key and featured subject of Jiangsu Province. Marine engineering is a engineering field to provide a wide range of ship power and turbine systems, equipment, engineering design and construction for marine traffic transport industry, marine resource exploitation, etc. which is of great significance to the construction and development of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. The subject is a high-tech discipline which with the integration of machine, electricity, heat, automation and management of modern ship.

 轮机工程、动力工程学科拥有一支结构合理、团结协作、学术水平高、在国内外有影响的研究队伍。经过多年的发展,该学科已形成了稳定的研究方向、显著的办学特色和丰富的教学科研成果。目前承担了国家自然科学基金、江苏省自然科学基金以及国防预研等高水平科研项目,科研经费充足,具备了招收国外留学生攻读硕士学位的学科条件。

Marine Engineering and Energy & Power Engineering disciplines have a high academic level of research team with reasonable structure, unity and cooperation, which has a large influence in domestic and foreign. With years of development, these two subjects have formed a stable and significant research direction, obtained rich achievements on both teaching and scientific research. Currently, we undertake high level scientific research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province and the National Defense Pre-research. With enough research funding, we have disciplinary conditions to recruit foreign students studying for a master’s degree.

 本学科来华留学硕士生应掌握轮机工程学科扎实的理论基础和系统的专门知识,具有独立分析问题、解决问题的能力,同时掌握基本的实验测试与数据分析、计算机应用编程等技术,毕业后能够从事动力工程、轮机工程领域相关的教学、科研、设计、生产及管理等方面的工作。

The international master students in China on this discipline should grasp solid theoretical foundation and systematic specialized knowledge of Power Engineering and Marine Engineering discipline, obtain the ability on analyzing and solving problems independently, and master the basic technologies such as experimental test and data analysis and computer application programming. After graduation, they can be engaged in teaching, scientific research, design, production and management, etc. in the fields of Energy & Power Engineering and Marine Engineering.

  1. 学制(School System

 学制两年,其中,课程学习时间一般为1年,学位论文形成时间一般为1年,在籍年限累计不超过3年(从入学至毕业),在校攻读时间最短不得少于1年。

The length of schooling is two years, in which the course learning time is generally one year, and the dissertation formation time is generally one year. The accumulated years are not more than three years (from enrollment to graduation), and the minimum time of study in the University is not less than one year.

 在校期间应修满28学分,其中学位课不少于19学分,非学位课不少于9学分。

The oversea graduate students are required to obtain 28 credits, including no less than 19 credits for degree courses, and no less than 9 credits for non-degree courses.

七、科研要求与学位论文(Scientific Research Requirements and Dissertation)

  1. 科研要求(Scientific Research Requirements)

 来华留学硕士生按照导师要求参加科研活动,撰写1篇与专业相关的学术论文(英文)。

The international master students in China should participate in scientific research activities according to the requirement of the mentor, and write a professional-related academic paper (in English).

2.学位论文(Dissertation)

 学位论文可以是学术研究或科学技术报告,也可以是工程设计、案例分析等报告。

Dissertation can be academic research or science and technology report, can also be a engineering design or case analysis report.

 学位论文可以用英文或中文进行撰写。选用英文撰写的学位论文,其摘要需要用中文撰写;选用中文撰写的学位论文,其摘要需要用英文撰写。

The dissertation can be written in English or Chinese. If the dissertation is written in English, the abstract of which should be written in Chinese; if the dissertation is written in Chinese, the abstract should be written in English.

 提倡来华留学硕士生撰写论文与其本国实际相结合;确因需要、经指导教师同意、学院领导和国际学院领导审批,来华留学硕士生可以利用部分时间回国撰写论文,但在我国进行论文工作的时间不得少于半年;来华留学硕士生的论文答辩工作必须在我校进行。

It is advocated that the international master students can write papers combined with the reality of their own countries. Because of the need truly, with the approval of the mentors, the college leadership and international college leadership, the students can use some time to back home to write paper, but the paper work time should not be less than half a year in our country. The dissertation defense should be carried out in our university.

八、学位授予(Degree Authorization)

 来华留学硕士生通过本专业规定的学位课程考试以及其它必修和选修课程的考核或考查、完成规定环节,修满学分要求,方可申请学位论文答辩。通过学位论文答辩者,学校颁发硕士毕业证书,并授予工学硕士学位。

The international master students who have passed the examinations of the degree courses and other required and elective courses, accomplished specified educational scores, and complete credit requirements, may apply for dissertation defense. Those who have success fully defended their dissertations shall be awarded the diploma and Master Degree in Engineering.
